The Dream Cart

Terms of Service

Plain-English summary: The Dream Cart is a shopping simulator. Nothing is for sale, no payment is ever taken, and any receipt is fictional. Every brand you see belongs to its owner and has nothing to do with us. See also our Privacy Policy.

1. Nature of the Service

The Dream Cart ("the Service") is an interactive shopping simulator provided for entertainment and demonstration purposes only. The Service mimics the experience of browsing and purchasing products. It is not a store, marketplace, or retailer. No products offered through the Service are actually for sale.

2. No Transactions

No purchase, sale, order, payment, charge, or shipment occurs through the Service. No payment method is collected, stored, processed, or charged. Any card details displayed are non-functional placeholders. Any "order," "receipt," "total," "tax," or "confirmation" generated by the Service is fictional and has no commercial or legal effect.

3. Not Proof of Purchase

Receipts and confirmations produced by the Service are simulated and must not be presented as evidence of a real purchase, used for reimbursement, returns, warranty claims, tax, accounting, or any other purpose requiring genuine proof of payment.

4. Trademarks and Brands

All brand names, product names, and model names shown on the Service are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used solely to identify and refer to the real products they name, for descriptive and illustrative purposes. The Dream Cart is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any brand, manufacturer, or rights holder referenced anywhere on the Service. Product imagery is original, independently created illustration and photography; it is not sourced from, and does not represent official imagery of, any brand. No brand referenced has approved or reviewed the Service. If you are a rights holder with a concern, contact info@thedreamcart.com and we will respond promptly.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if we learn we have, we will delete it.

6. Account Information and Privacy

To personalize your simulated experience, the Service collects your name, email address, and a password. Passwords are stored and verified securely by Google Firebase Authentication; the Service never sees or stores them directly. Your name and email are used to display your name on simulated receipts and to send account emails (verification, welcome, receipts). We do not sell your information. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to deceive any person into believing a real transaction has occurred, including by altering, screenshotting, or repurposing simulated receipts to misrepresent them as genuine; not to use the Service to infringe any third party's rights; and not to interfere with, probe, or disrupt the Service. We may suspend or terminate any account, and remove any content, at our discretion and without notice, including for violation of these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property of the Service

The Service's original content — including its site design, text, illustrations, and generated photography — belongs to the operator of the Service. You may share links, screenshots, and receipt images generated by the sharing features for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided the simulator disclaimers they contain are not removed or obscured.

9. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation, or that any content (including prices, which are approximations for entertainment) is accurate or current.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless the operator of the Service from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, including any attempt to pass off simulated receipts as genuine.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in that state have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to the Service, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

13. Changes and Severability

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date below reflects the current version, and material changes will be reflected there. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
